Despite the varying levels of arguments surrounding the UFCs decision to heavily market Cain Velasquez as a way to tap into the heavy Latino market, the fact remains that Velasquez is a proud Mexican descendent and truthfully, there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, the UFC is smart in its quest to wrangle the spending power of the surging Latino consumer base. In Velasquez, you have a amiable champion who can crush men’s skulls with his bare hands, and what’s not to like about that?
Check out Velasquez getting his “Brown Pride” on with George Lopez. The champ came off good in his first major appearance following his destruction of Brock Lesnar. Good for him, and good for all of MMA.
